The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index gained 35basis points today. A surge in demand for First Bank, GTBank and Zenith bank reversed yesterday’s losses as these company’s recorded slim gains at the close of the session. UBA however dropped 3.4 per cent while profit taking trimmed off 8.5 per cent from Unity Bank and closing sentiments suggests that it could lose further points in coming sessions. A crossed deal early in the session at N42.98 boosted UACN up by 7.5 per cent however a downward review of subsequent bids could undo this gain at the next trading session. Guinness lingered in the province of the bears, recording no change at the close of the session.
