It is now mandatory for airline operating in the country to show evidence of use aircraft when applying for foreign exchange under FEM.
This was contained in a new directive issued to authorise dealers by CBN last week.
The directive stated that “evidence of use of aircraft which is ne of the documentation requirements specific in respect of applications to remit charter, repair and maintenance fees for aircraft is to be issued by the authorised signatories of the Air Registration Board (ARB) of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Aviation.
The directive further stated that all requests for certifications of use of aircraft should be addressed to the appropriate authority.
