No plan to sell Skye Bank—- CBN
Central Bank of Nigeria has said that it has no immediate plan to sell Skye Bank saying it has issued guarantees to depositors as well as creditors of the bank.
It said “as part of our support to the new Management and Board of Skye Bank, the Central Bank of Nigeria has extended a short term lending facility to the bank. The aim is to ensure that some withdrawals it suffered in the wake of the undue panic of last week do not adversely affect its operations. As a demonstration of the health of Skye Bank we have further issued guarantees to its depositors and creditors. Currently there is no plan to sell Skye Bank”.
