Nigeria can meet local demand for transformers, says NASENI DG
Director-General of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Prof. Olusegun Adewoye, has said that Nigeria has the capacity to meet its high demand for transformers by all categories of electricity consumers. Adewoye stated this at Okene in Kogi while making an assessment tour of facilities at the Power Equipment and Electrical Machinery Development Institute (PEEMADI). He said the country was now in a position to maintain transformers within a short time. The NASENI chief, who visited both the temporary and permanent sites of the institute, said that PEEMADI was established to manufacture transformers.
