FG to grants N5bn palliative to each state, FCT
The Federal Government has promised a grant of N5 billion to each state and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as palliative to cushion the effects of the petrol subsidy removal. Babagana Zulum, the Borno State Governor, said this in Abuja on Thursday while briefing State House Correspondents on the outcome of the National Economic Council meeting presided over by Vice President Kashim Shettima. The economic council has of responsibility of advising the Federal Government on palliatives, salary adjustments and grants to workers and states in the federation.
