The Nigeria Stock Exchange All-Share Index gained 34basis points today. There were few gainers in the banking sector, Skye Bank, Fidelity, UBN and UBA appreciated with varied gains ranging from 0.4 per cent to 1.7 per cent. On the flip side First Bank dropped a further 0.8 per cent as it dipped as low as N15.98 during the session before recovering to close at N16.12. Zenith Bank and Access Bank also lost 0.5 per cent and 1.0 per cent apiece. Sentiments on Oando turned bearish today as it lost 0.7%, also headed south in the petroleum marketing sector were Forte Oil and Conoil with losses of 3.9 per cent and 5.0 per cent. Mobil was however divergent to the trend picking up 4.8 per cent today. Dangote Cement was up a further 1.2 per cent today while CCNN dropped a further 2.0 per cent, Ashaka cement and Lafarge Wapco however recorded no change.
