Betta Edu sues BBC for linking her to N30bn recovered by EFCC
Suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu sues BBC over report linking her to the recovery of N30 billion by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).


Betta Edu’s lawyer demanded an immediate retraction of the article by BBC and a public apology to the suspended minister within 48 hours. On January 4th, the EFCC froze N30 billion out of the N44 billion moved to private accounts from the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) accounts.
