Conoil to pay N2.50 final dividend per share, NGX All-Share Index extends gains, up 0.71
Conoil Plc announced that a final dividend (FY:2022) of N2.50k per unit of ordinary share will be paid on the September 29th, 2023, to shareholders whose name appeared on its Register of Members as at June 29th, 2023. Meanwhile opening the week, the stock market extended gains from last week as the benchmark index closed 0.71% stronger to settle at 65,202.41 points. Buy interests in BUAFOODS (+9.29%), alongside Tier-1 banks, GTCO (+0.14%) and STANBIC (+1.74%) kept the market in the green. Consequently, the year-to-date (YTD) return rose to 27.22%, while market capitalisation gained ₦250.01bn to close at ₦35.68trn.
Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled lower relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions down by 57.50%. A total of 231.60m shares valued at ₦3.99bn were exchanged in 5,494 deals. TRANSCORP (+5.29%) led the volume chart with 36.84m units traded while MTNN (+0.00%) led the value chart in deals worth ₦1.45bn.
Market breadth closed positive at a 2.78-to-1 ratio with advancing issues outnumbering declining ones. BUAFOODS (+9.29%) topped twenty-four (24) others on the leader’s log while JAIZBANK (-7.78%) led eight (8) others on the laggard’s table.
