EBRD will stand by Ukraine
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has condemned the Russian-led invasion of Ukrainian territory. A statement issued by Odile Renaud-Basso President of the EBRD said “This morning I have told the Ukrainian authorities that they have the Bank’s unwavering support. My thoughts are with the people of Ukraine, with our business partners in the country, and, of course, the many staff we employ there.
We are a major institutional investor in Ukraine, and our relationship dates back more than 30 years. We have deep and well-established roots. The Bank is strongly committed to Ukraine’s development as a modern, democratic nation. We will be closely monitoring the situation as it develops and will respond where necessary. This is a very serious moment for Ukraine and for the wider world.
