Gtbank declares 50 kobo dividend per share as NGX All-Share Index opens the week positive, gains 1.11%
Guaranty Trust Holdings (GTCO) has declared an interim dividend of 50 Kobo per Ordinary Share for shareholders listed in the Register of Members by September 14, 2023, and for GDR holders by September 5, 2023. Nigerian equities opened the week strong today as the benchmark index gained 1.11% to close at 68,279.14 point. The market’s performance was primarily driven by demand in BUAFOODS, ZENITHBANK and GTCO. Consequently, the year-to-date (YTD) return rose to 33.22%, while the market capitalisation gained ₦411.55bn to close at ₦37.37trn.
Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled higher relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions up by 88.56%. A total of 845.68m shares valued at ₦13.04bn were exchanged in 11,934 deals. REGALINS (led the volume chart with 100.98m units traded while ZENITHBANK led the value chart in deals worth ₦2.80bn.
Market breadth closed positive at a 2.07-to-1 ratio with advancing issues outnumbering declining ones. DANGSUGAR (+10.00%) topped thirty (30) others on the leader’s table while CORNERST (-9.29%) led fourteen (14) others on the laggard’s log.
