Muda Yusuf, Director General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) said: “The event is a further commitment at sensitising and deepening the involvement of the Organised Private Sector in humanitarian partnerships that could engender social investment in Nigeria and Africa. This is expected to enhance the effectiveness of humanitarian action based on ethical obligation and accountability to the citizenry, acknowledge diversity as an asset, promote quality and ensure transparency.”

It is to this end that a collaboration such as this is worthy of note and commendable. While acknowledging the efforts of government through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in addressing the humanitarian challenges faced by the country, it is imperative for the private sector to join forces with government to bring succour to the affected group of people.”
