NGX All-Share Index posts rebound, gains 17bps

Snapping the three consecutive sessions of losses, the domestic bourse posted a 17bps rebound to close at 99,385.44. Investors interest in Tier-1 banking tickers GTCO (+0.92%), ZENITHBANK (+1.42%) and FBNH (+2.99%) were the primary drivers of the positive performance of the broader index. Consequently, the year-to-date (YTD) return rose to 32.91%, while the market capitalisation gained ₦94.95bn to close at ₦56.22trn.
Analysis of today’s market activity showed that trade turnover settled 33.15% lower than the previous session, with 276.36 million shares valued at ₦4.12 billion in 7,597 transactions. ACCESSCORP (+0.27%) led the volume and value chart with 45.34 million units traded in deals worth ₦859.40 million.
Market breadth closed positive at a 2.62-to-1 ratio with advancing issues outnumbering the declining ones. OANDO (+10.00%) topped thirty-three (33) others on the leader’s table while NSLTECH (-10.00%) led twelve (12) others on the laggard’s log.
