The Nigerian equities market extended its bullish run in today’s session, with the NGX All-Share Index (ASI) advancing by 0.62% to close at 243,958.73 points. Consequently, market capitalisation rose by 0.62% to N156.55trn, while the year-to-date return improved to 56.77%, from 55.81% in the previous trading session.
The positive market performance was driven by strong gains in FIRSTHOLDCO (+9.96%), INTBREW (+10.00%), and HONYFLOUR (+9.68%), which more than offset losses in GEREGU (-10.00%), NEIMETH (-8.16%), and UBA (-6.53%).

Trading activity was positive during the session, as total traded volume increased by 219.45% to 165.61mn units, while the value of transactions advanced by 392.14% to N111.98bn. FIRSTHOLDCO (+9.96%) recorded the highest traded volume and value with 12.58mn units exchanged and transactions worth N85.61bn.
Market breadth remained positive at 1.08x, reflecting sustained buying interest as gainers outnumbered losers. A total of twenty-eight (28) stocks advanced, led by INTBREW (+10.00%), while twenty-six (26) stocks declined, with GEREGU (-10.00%) emerging as the worst-performing stock of the session.
