Seplat to pay N759.86 to $1 for Q2 interim dividend
Seplat Energy Plc has announced the exchange rate of $1 to N759.86 for the conversion of the Naira equivalence of its Q2:2023 interim dividend (US$0.03 cent) to be paid to shareholders. Meanwhile the stock market maintained the losing streak as the benchmark Index lost 0.27% to close at 64,448.96 points. Sustained selloffs Tier-1 banking names, ZENITHBANK, GTCO and ACCESSCORP overturned gains in FBNH DANGSUGAR and FIDELITYBK, dragging down the market. Accordingly, the market is on track for a week of loss. Consequently, the ASI’s year-to-date (YTD) return fell to 25.75%, while the market capitalisation shed ₦96.50bn to close at ₦35.27trn.
Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled lower relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions down by 49.82%. A total of 320.35m shares valued at ₦3.73bn were exchanged in 5,176 deals. FIDELITYBK (+2.74%) led the volume and value charts with 80.05m units traded in deals worth ₦595.54m. Market breadth closed positive at 1.25-to-1 ratio with advancing issues outnumbering declining ones. CUTIX (+8.00%) topped fourteen (14) others on the leader’s table while NASCON (-5.15%) led eleven (11) others on the laggard’s log.
