Tinubu sacks Irukera, CEO of FCCPC, Okoh, CEO of BPE

President Bola Tinubu on Monday sacked chief executive of two parastatal agencies of the Federal Government with immediate effect.. The affected executives are Babatunde Irukera, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, and Mr Alexander Okoh, the Director-General/CEO of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE). Ajuri Ngelale, the Presidential Spokesman, announced the sack of the two chief executives in a statement in Abuja on Monday.

The statement said the two dismissed Chief Executives were directed to hand over to the next most senior officer in their respective agencies pending the appointment of new Chief Executive Officers. It said that the development was in conformity with plans to restructure and reposition critical agencies of the Federal Government towards protecting the rights of Nigerian consumers and providing a strong basis for enhanced contributions to the nation’s economy by key growth-enabling institutions.
