Two stock exchange applicant to know fate today
Two companies Metropolitan Investment and Securities Limited and Unit Trust Securities will know the fate of their application to the Nigeria Stock Exchange today after the council meeting.
The Republic gathered that the two companies have applied to the Nigeria Stock Exchange for ordinary/dealing membership.
Authoritative source at the stock exchange disclosed that Metropolitan Securities Company had applied through the Kaduna branch of the Stock Exchange.
The source said that when the application was earlier presented to the national council of the Stock Exchange it was decided that because of the time lag, it should be returned to the Kaduna branch to enable it update the proposer and seconder and more importantly to provide vital information about the company.
The Stock Exchange source further disclosed that the Kaduna branch as its recent meeting approved the application of Metropolitan Investment and Securities and thus pass it down to the National Council for final approval.
Sources close to the Stock Exchange Management further disclosed that the NSE management has already recommended the company for approval at today‚Äôs council meeting whose agenda has the two application for discussion – s item 2.
Unit Trust Securities the sources said submitted its application early this year Ref. No. KSB/JON/NSE.5.
According to our sources the director of the company Aderenle Adejumo of Shobo House, 5, Simpson Street, Laogs. K.B. Sonaike of 245 Ccausway, Ijora Lagos and Mrs. F. Sonaike of 22b Creek Road, Apapa have already submitted their curriculum vitae as required by the Stock Exchange.
Also the company has employed a staff who is to serve as the accredited representative of the company.
