Soludo, Uzochukwu, appointed to Golden Tulip board
Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Prof. Charles Soludo and Chairman of Stanel Group, Mr Stanley Uzochukwu have been appointed to the board of Golden Tulip West Africa Limited. Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, inaugurated the 8-man board to manage the affairs of Golden Tulip Hotels, formerly known as Agulu Lake Hotels Resorts, in Awka, in a move to reposition the company for better productivity, at a ceremony in Awka.
Prof. Soludo will serve as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Golden Tulip Hotels while Mr Stanley Uzochukwu, Mr Amaechi Ndili, Chief Joe-Billy Ekwunife, Chief Patrick Chidolue, Hon. Chriscato Ameke, Mr Ifeatu Onejeme, Dr Chike Akunyili and Barr Mrs Ifeyinwa Obegolu would serve as members.
In his remarks, Obiano congratulated the appointees and charged them to serve Anambra with the best of their abilities. The governor particularly urged the members to apply their wealth of experience and expertise in business to revive the hotel situated in Agulu, Aniocha Local Government Area of the State.
According to him, “the composition of the Golden Tulip Hotel board was based on competence irrespective of age and other irrelevant considerations. He said members of the governing board comprised successful business experts who have the wealth of experience and have also made tremendous landmarks in different fields of human endeavours both within and outside the state.
