NSE market indices appreciate by 0.81%
Market indices of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) appreciated by 0.81 per cent on Friday after days of persistent sliding. The All- Share Index grew by 160.96 points to close at 20,122.14 against the 19,961.18 posted on Thursday. Also, the market capitalisation, which opened at N6.23 trillion, rose by N51 billion to close at N6.33 trillion per share. Dangote Cement led the gainers’ chart, appreciating by N4.77 to close at N105.10 per share and was followed by OkomuOil which gained N1.17 to close at N24.58 per share. Roads rose by 0.35k to close at N7.52 per share, UPL grew by 0.17k to close at N3.69 per share, while Red Star gained 0.10k to close at N2.28 per share. On the other hand, ETI led the losers’ chart with a loss of 0.54k to close at N10.42 per share while UACN trailed with 0.52k loss to close at N28.80 per share. ZenithBank dipped by 0.44k to close at N11.51 per share, CCNN lost 0.24k to close at N4.47per share while NAHCO dropped 0.18k to close at N5.11 per share.
