Enugu budgets N74.99b for 2012 fiscal year
Gov. Sullivan Chime of Enugu State has proposed a budget of N74.997 billion for the state’s services in 2012, exceeding the 2011 estimate of N66.626 billion by 11 per cent. He said at the presentation of the budget christened `Budget of Continued Renewal’ in the State House of Assembly on Thursday in Enugu that N44.317 billion or 59 per cent was for recurrent expenditure while N30.680 billion or 41 per cent was for capital expenditure. Chime said that government was expecting re-current revenue of N60 billion which would be realised through aggressive internally generated revenue (IGR) drive estimated to yield N8 billion or 13.3 per cent.
