Lagos partners Hong Kong institution to strengthen PPP initiatives
Lagos State Office of Public-Private Partnerships has executed a two-year memorandum of understanding with the Institution of Public-Private Partnerships Hong Kong.
The special adviser to the Lagos governor on PPP, Bukola Odoe, announced this in a statement on Thursday.
According to her, the MoU was signed at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on the margins of the 19th Asian Financial Forum, held between January 26 and 27 and convened by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
She noted that the MoU established a structured platform for institutional cooperation between Lagos state and stakeholders within the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, with a focus on advancing PPP initiatives in areas of shared interest.

“It is intended to strengthen technical collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange, and support the delivery of Lagos state’s THEMES Plus Agenda through improved access to global best practice, networks, and investment-aligned partnerships.
Ms Odoe further explained that OPPP participated in the forum as part of a wider United States delegation led by the Silicon Valley Prop Tech Association and its chairperson, Alina Aeby.
“Engagements across the forum spanned technology, real estate, and large-scale infrastructure. This provides an opportunity to deepen strategic relationships, benchmark emerging models, and explore new pathways for partnership and investment alignment.”
