Their confirmation is coming on the heels of the Nation going through fuel crisis as a result of the importation of toxic fuel into the country. The decision of the Senate to approve their nomination was sequel to the consideration of a report by the Committee on Downstream Petroleum Sector. Others are Mansur Kuliya, Executive Director, Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure; Bashir Sadiq, Executive Director, Corporate Services and Administration; and Dr. Zainab Gobir, Executive Director, Economic Regulations and Strategic Planning.
