Petrol price goes up again; now N1030 in Abuja, N998 in Lagos
President Bola Tinubu’s administration has announced a new increase in petrol price that will see Abuja residents buy fuel at N1,030 per litre. The price of petrol is pegged at N998 per litre. NNPC stations displayed the new price in Lagos and Abuja on Wednesday. This upward review comes amidst unprecedented economic hardship. Since Mr Tinubu assumed office on May 29, 2023, announcing that “fuel subsidy is gone”, fuel price has skyrocketed.
